I recently acquired the 2011 James Garfield
dollar coins from the US Mint. The P, D, and S coins all featured
the same design, but the mint mark was stamped onto the edge of
each one. The P coin is the Philadelphia mint, the D is the Denver
mint, and the S is the San Francisco mint.

I’m always excited to see a proof coin in my
collection! They’re made with extra care and have more intricate
details than regular coins, so they stand out in a way that regular
coins don’t. To produce a proof coin, it takes longer and requires
a special planchet. That means that these coins aren’t found in
your day-to-day change, but instead they’re made for coin
collectors. It’s a great way to add a unique piece to your

I’m only worth my face value of $1 if I’m a 2011
James Garfield dollar coin in circulated condition. However, if I’m
in uncirculated condition, people will pay a premium for me.

I’m looking at two different coins: the 2011 P
James Garfield dollar coin and the 2011 D James Garfield dollar
coin. Both are worth around $10.50 if they’re uncirculated and have
an MS 65 grade. It’s a pretty nice deal for something so special.
I’m looking forward to collecting these coins and seeing what else
I can get.

I’m currently in possession of a 2011 S proof
James Garfield dollar coin and its worth around $8.50 if it’s in PR
65 condition. That’s quite impressive for something that’s been
around for more than a decade! It’s definitely a great addition to
any coin collection, and I’m quite happy to have it.

Grading System

I’m in awe of this MS 65 gem uncirculated coin.
It has a dazzling luster and eye appeal. Even though there may be a
few faint contact marks, they’re so subtle that you can barely see
them. This is one coin that I’d definitely like to add to my
collection.

I’m confident when I say this coin is flawless.
Sure, there may be a few minor blemishes, but nothing that detracts
from its PR 65 proof. I can guarantee that this coin has no major
issues.
