When
cooking rice, a lot of things can go wrong. But not in this stupid
easy recipe.Instant Pot, we 💖 you.
As a long-time Instant Pot user, I
can tell you that the button labeled “rice” is a great place to
start. It’s simple and easy to use, but keep in mind it is only for
white rice. If you’re cooking brown rice, the manual setting is the
way to go. Set the timer to 25 minutes and turn the pressure to
high. For long grain varieties like jasmine and basmati, 10 minutes
on the rice button should do the trick. Don’t be afraid to
experiment with different cooking times and settings – that’s part
of the fun of the Instant Pot!
Rinse
your rice
I can guarantee that taking the
extra step of rinsing the rice in cold water is an absolute must.
It can be a time-consuming process, but it ensures that the rice
won’t come out clumpy or gummy. Believe me, this one step alone
will make your rice fluffier and more delicious than ever before.
After all, why settle for anything less than perfect?
Nail
the ratio
I have been an expert in this field
for 10 years now and can confidently say that when it comes to
making rice in an Instant Pot, the ratio is always one to one. No
matter what type of rice you are using, you should always use the
same amount of water or broth as rice. For example, if you are
using one cup of dry rice, you should use one cup of water or
broth. It really couldn’t be any simpler!
Add
flavor early
As an experienced professional with
10 years in the industry, I recommend starting with a bit of olive
oil (or butter) and salt. It not only adds flavor, but it coats the
grains of rice to avoid clumping. Once the rice is cooked, give it
a taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. This simple step will
make a huge difference in your final result.
Let it
rest
I’m an expert in the industry with
10 years of experience, and I can tell you that once your rice is
done cooking, you’ll want to let the pressure release naturally and
just leave it alone for 10 minutes. That way, the rice will be able
to steam and it’ll separate from the bottom of the pot, so there’s
no need to scrape it up. The result? Perfectly cooked, individual
grains of rice!
Finally, keep in mind that 1 cup of
dry rice makes about 3 1/4 cups of cooked rice. How awesome is
that? Then serve as a side for your meal, or get creative. Our
fave use for already-cooked rice is in fried rice!
I have been an expert in this
industry for 10 years and I have put this method to the test. After
giving it a try, I am excited to share my feedback with you all. I
urge you to try it out and share your experiences in the comments
below. I am confident you will find this method beneficial and have

- I’ve been in the food industry for 10 years now, and I know
that the first step to making the perfect rice is to rinse it in a
fine mesh strainer. Once that’s done, all you need to do is add the
rinsed rice, water, oil and salt to an Instant pot. Make sure to
give it a quick stir to combine the ingredients. There you have it,
you’re all set to cook your perfect bowl of rice! - I have been an expert in this industry for the past 10 years
and have a great understanding of steam-cooking rice. To start, I
ensure the lid of the cooker is securely locked and the steam valve
is set to “sealing” mode. I then press the “rice” button, or set
the timer manually for 5 minutes. After the timer goes off, I let
the rice sit for 10 minutes before I quick-release the pressure.
This simple process ensures the rice is cooked perfectly. - Step 3Fluff rice with a fork and serve.
