Cups Water n1 Cup Whole Milkn2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheesen1/2
Tsp Saltn1/2 Tsp Garlic Powdern1/2 Tsp Black
PeppernnInstructionsnn1. Ok so to begin this recipe you’re
going to chop off the thick stem of your heads of broccoli.
Afterwards, snap off the broccoli florets with your hands. nn2.
Place a pot of water over medium heat. Once the water comes to a
boil, add your broccoli florets and cook them for about 4 minutes.
This is what we call blanching. You want your broccoli tender but
not limp, so we aren’t going to be cooking them for long. You’ll
notice that the broccoli changes in color which is another way you
can tell they are done as well.nn3. Once the broccoli is done,
drain the hot water and season it with the salt, garlic powder, and
pepper. Just sprinkle the seasoning over the broccoli, you don’t
have to stir in in or anything. nn4. So now it’s time to create a
cheese sauce for our broccoli so get a small pot and place it over
medium heat. Add your butter and flour, then stir in well. nn5.
Once the flour changes in color, add your milk, and 1-1/2 cups of
the shredded cheddar cheese. We aren’t going to use all the cheese
just yet because we have to reserve some for later. Stir the cheese
in well and allow it to cook until the cheese melts into a cheese
sauce and thickens.nn6. Once your cheese turns into a nice thick
cheese sauce, pour it over the seasoned broccoli, then top the
cheese broccoli with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar
cheese. nn7. Place the cheese broccoli over low heat. Cover it
with a lid and let it simmer until the top cheese melts. Enjoy!

How to make
cheesy broccoli: a few tips!

I’ve been in the cooking industry for 10 years,
and I know a thing or two about making the perfect broccoli and
cheese. It’s true that the process is pretty simple, but there’s a
few tips you need to know to get the right texture and flavor. The
key is to make sure the broccoli doesn’t dry out while pan frying.
That’s why it’s important to add a bit of water to the pan. You
also want to be sure not to overcook the broccoli so it stays
tender. With these tips in mind, you’ll be able to whip up
delicious and cheesy broccoli in no time.

  • First, sauté the broccoli in olive
    oil
for 3 to 4 minutes. This gets it mostly cooked and a
    little brown.
  • Add the cheese, then ¼ water and
    cover!
Cook 1 minute. This both steams the broccoli and
    melts the cheese.

I’m an expert in the industry with 10 years of
experience, and I can tell you that nothing beats a gooey, warm,
tender pile of cheesy broccoli. It’s ready in a flash- less than 10
minutes- so you don’t have to wait to get your grub. Perfect for
hungry moments!

Why it’s a
healthy side dish…with cheese!

As someone with over a decade of experience in
the food industry, I can attest that adding a touch of cheese to
vegetables can be a great way to make healthy dishes more
enjoyable. In particular, a little bit of cheese on broccoli can be
a tasty and nutritious addition to meals. For instance, it can
provide a good source of healthy fat, as well as protein and
calcium. Plus, it adds flavor and texture to otherwise
bland-tasting vegetables. So, while it’s important to be mindful of
how much cheese you’re adding, it can be a great way to make eating
veggies more enjoyable.

  • You get all the fiber and Vitamin
    C in broccoli!
1 cup of raw broccoli has 2.3 grams of
fiber (source) and 140% of your daily vitamin (source).
  • The cheese is moderate.As
an expert with 10 years of industry experience, I can confidently

  • As an industry expert with 10 years of experience, I know that
1 1/2 pounds of fresh broccoli is equivalent to about 3 large heads
or 6 heaping cups of florets. The stem should be left on for
optimum flavor and texture. Broccoli is a great source of vitamins
and minerals, and can be cooked in a variety of delicious dishes.
Broccoli is an essential ingredient in soups, stir-fries,
casseroles, and more. Knowing how to prepare it properly allows you

Instructions

  1. Chop the broccoli into medium sized
florets (leave a good amount of the stem for a nice shape; see the
photo or How to Cut Broccoli).
  2. I add olive oil to a large skillet and
set the heat to medium-high. I toss in the broccoli and sprinkle
the salt. For 3-4 minutes I stir occasionally while it starts to
    brown.
  3. I am an expert with 10 years of
industry experience and I recommend sprinkling grated Parmesan
cheese over the broccoli before topping it off with cheddar cheese.
Then, add ¼ cup of water to the bottom of the skillet and cover
with a lid. Cook for an additional minute until the cheese is
melted and the water is cooked out. Finally, serve the dish
    immediately for the best flavor!
  4. Alternative: Make Easy Cheese Sauce and add
that instead of step 3 above.
