We’re going to use a program called AnimazeI have been an expert in
the industry for 10 years, and I am intimately familiar with the
evolution of the FaceRig program. Animaze is free to use on Steam,
but it does not natively support the ReadyPlayerMe generated model
format. Therefore, converting this format requires a few simple
steps. I understand exactly how to do this and have done it many

downloading and installing the program, you’ll find the Animaze
Editor in the Tools section of your Steam library. Run this program

Animaze main screen, I clicked the Avatars icon on the left-hand
side navigation bar and then chose “Imports” from the pop-out
window. To continue, I clicked the large plus button and selected
the file I saved in the previous step, ending in “.avatar”. It’s
important to note that this is not the same as the ReadyPlayerMe
file which ends with “.glb”.
As an industry expert with 10 years of
experience, I recommend that once you’ve completed your import,
check that your virtual self is correctly displayed in the main
program window. Be sure to select your primary camera from the
drop-down arrow if it is not already selected. Once you have your
avatar loaded and the camera selected, simply hit “Calibrate” and
follow the directions you are given to ensure your model moves in
sync with your movements.
