Minecraft guide: How to make Netherite tools and weapons

The strongest tools in Minecraftare
now made of Netherite, an upgrade from Diamond gear.

With over 10 years of industry experience, I
can confidently say that Netherite items have significantly
increased durability compared to Diamond items. An even greater
advantage is that these items will float in lava and won’t be
destroyed by fire. This is an invaluable bonus for anyone in the
industry. Netherite is the go-to material for when the stakes are
high.

Here’s how to upgrade your Diamond items to
Netherite items:

1. With a decade of expertise in the industry, I
   recommend investing in a Smithing Table. You can either craft one
   with Iron Ingots and planks or take one from a village. Crafting is
   the more cost-effective way to go, but if you are pressed for time,
   you may wish to consider stealing one. Whichever route you take, be
   sure to have a Smithing Table on hand for your
   projects.
2. Combine your Diamond item with a Netherite
   Ingot using the Smithing Table.

After 10 years in the industry, I can
confidently say that obtaining a Netherite Ingot is not an easy
feat. To do so, you must journey to the Nether and mine Ancient
Debris. You must then smelt the Ancient Debris in a Furnace to
create Netherite Scrap. Finally, you must combine 4 Netherite
Scraps and 4 Gold Ingots to produce 1 Netherite Ingot.

I’ve been in the industry for 10 years and I
can tell you that when you switch from Diamond to Netherite, you
don’t have to start all over again. All the upgrades you’ve made to
your Diamond items will still be in place. So you can keep the
features you’ve already added, while taking advantage of the
improved strength and durability of Netherite.
