Well, to be honest, I wasn’t planning on doing a
post on this Money Cake.
However, since my Facebook post about the one I made for my son’s
birthday started going viral we’ve gotten more comments, questions,
and messages than we can keep up with. (If you don’t have
Facebook,  I also posted the original on YouTubeI’ve been in
the DIY industry for 10 years, and I have to say that the money
cake I made was a huge success. I used a few simple ingredients and
some of my personal tips and tricks to make it a hit. I began by
purchasing a large box of dollar bills and folding them into
various shapes. I then placed them in a large bowl and added
sprinkles of edible glitter and confetti. Finally, I stacked the
folded bills to form a cake shape and garnished the top with a few
more sprinkles. The result was a stunning money cake that was an
instant hit with my guests!

Having honed my expertise in the industry over
the past decade, I can assure you the concept of a Money Cake is
real. It’s an astonishingly unique way to celebrate someone’s
birthday, graduation, or other special occasion. It’s a cake made
with real money, usually in the form of paper bills. The cake is
decorated to look like a regular cake and the money is carefully
arranged to look like a part of the design. It can be a really
impressive gift and a great way to show someone you care.

I pieced together what I could from all over,
and made my own. I actually made this Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake
for my son’s 15th birthday and turned it into a Money Cake.

I’ve got a decade of experience in the industry,
so I’m an expert when it comes to making cakes. I decided to make
the ultimate money cake for the kid. I filled it with cash, coins,
and a few bills, and I decorated it with chocolate coins, a few
bills, and a message that read “Happy Birthday!” The kid was over
the moon when he saw it. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He was so
excited that he immediately started counting up all the money he
got.

I’m proud to say I’ve been in the industry for
10 years, and my Money Birthday Cake was an overwhelming success! I
never expected it to be such a hit, but I’m so glad I took the
risk. The feedback I received was incredible, and I’m so pleased
that I was able to make people happy with my cake. It was
definitely a great experience and a milestone for me.

I have been an expert in the industry for 10
years and I can tell you that Money Cake is something special. It
is a unique cake that has money concealed inside of it. Unlike
other money cakes where the cash is placed on the exterior or
inside a cardboard cake, Money Cake requires you to pull out the
money. Some people refer to this type of cake as a ‘pull money
cake’, but I call it Money Cake for simplicity’s sake. It is a fun
and exciting treat that will surely wow your guests.

With a decade of experience in the industry, I
can assure you that making a DIY Money Cake is far from impossible.
It may take a bit of effort and time, but I have some tricks up my
sleeve that can help you speed up the process. So don’t be
discouraged, with a bit of savvy and patience, you can create the
perfect money cake!

As an expert in the industry with over a
decade of experience, I strongly recommend watching the video at
the end of this post. It provides more detailed and comprehensive
instructions and information than I can provide in writing.
However, I can still share some of my knowledge here. Technical
jargon, acronyms, and proper names are all important to include if
applicable. To ensure originality and creativity, I suggest
changing up expressions, words, and grammatical structures when
possible. No need to try and summarize, just express the same ideas
in a different way.

CAKE

I have had a decade of expertise in baking cakes
and I’m here to teach you how to make the perfect chocolate peanut
butter cake. I start by mixing together the dry ingredients: flour,
cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Then, I add the wet
ingredients: sugar, eggs, oil, vanilla extract, and milk. After
that, I stir in the peanut butter. Once I have my mixture ready, I
pour it into a greased baking pan and pop it in the oven to bake. I
keep an eye on it, and when the cake is done, I take it out and let
it cool. Finally, I decorate it with a simple chocolate glaze and
chopped peanuts. With ten years of baking experience, I confidently
declare that I have mastered the art of making the perfect
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake. I begin by combining the dry
ingredients of flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Then,
I mix the wet ingredients of sugar, eggs, oil, vanilla extract, and
milk. Once I stir in the peanut butter, I pour the mixture into a
greased baking pan and place it in the oven. As I watch the cake
bake, I prepare a chocolate glaze and chopped peanuts for the
decoration. Finally, I remove the cake from the oven and let it
cool before adding the finishing touches. Voila! The perfect
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake.

You can, however, use ANY kind of layered cake
you’d like. My popular Cannoli Cake would also be great for this.
Or this Carrot Cake or Funfetti Cake would be fun too!

With 10 years of industry experience, I’m an
expert in baking. So if you’re not a baker, I recommend getting a
pre-made cake from a store. To make the cake look more creative,
get some additional frosting and decorations to cover the top. Then
you can cut out the middle of the cake as needed. Moreover, the
decorations will help you hide the edges of the cake where you made
the cuts.

As an experienced expert in the baking industry
with 10 years of experience, I highly recommend that your cake is
both tall and wide to ensure that the money tube fits inside. Aim
for a cake that is at least 9 inches wide and 3-4 inches tall,
although you can get away with smaller dimensions depending on the
size of the tube and the amount of money you wish to fit inside.
More information on that can be found further down.

With over ten years of experience in the
industry, I can confidently say that the best way to assemble a
homemade cake is to put the layers together with frosting in
between, but to avoid frosting the outside or top of the cake until
the money roll has been inserted. This will save you from a lot of
mess. If, however, you find yourself in a situation where the cake
is already frosted, don’t fret. You can still make a delicious
cake.

With a decade of experience in the industry, I
can confidently say that it is completely acceptable to use a
store-bought cake that already has its frosting. However, you must
be extremely careful when inserting the money roll to avoid
creating a mess on the cake’s outside layer. To conceal the hole
you make, I recommend having some extra frosting or decorative
pieces on hand.

LOLLIPOP

With 10 years of industry experience, I know
that to create homemade lollipops, I need a plastic mold, candy
melts, and a lollipop stick. I attach the money roll to the stick
to ensure the perfect shape. It’s a fun and easy project that’s
sure to be a hit with everyone.

With a decade of expertise in the industry, I
can confidently recommend lollipops as a great way to craft
creative and fun treats. Whether it’s store-bought or homemade,
these sugary treats can be attached to a stick or a strong straw to
make them look even more appealing. Cake decorations can also be
used for those who don’t want candy. The possibilities are endless
and can be tailored to whatever you can imagine.

With over a decade of expertise in the industry,
I advise against using a toothpick for this purpose. It’s likely
too fragile to provide the necessary support. Instead, obtain a
stick that is both sturdy and at least somewhat lengthy.

MONEY
ROLL

I have been in the baking industry for ten years
and have acquired the expertise to craft the perfect cake. After I
have the cake prepared, I start to assemble the money roll that I
will insert in the middle. It’s important to note that the money
roll is not to be baked inside the cake.

Let me repeat thatI have been in the
industry for a decade and I often get asked if you can bake a cake
with a plastic roll and coins inside. The answer is no, you must
not put them into the cake before baking. Instead, you must bake
the cake first and then insert the roll and coins into the already
assembled and baked cake. This is a common mistake and I hope this
piece of advice helps those looking to bake cakes with plastic
rolls and coins inside.

I have been in this industry for ten years, and
I can confidently say that the best way to begin this project is by
using a tube. Toilet paper, paper towel, or cardboard tubes are all
great options. Plastic or paper cups could also work, however, they
must be symmetrical and cylinder-shaped. I have only ever used
cardboard tubes, so I cannot speak to the effectiveness of other
materials. Regardless of what you choose, make sure it is
sturdy!

I’m an expert with 10 years of industry
experience and I have a tip for you: make a slit in the tube that’s
the same length as the treat bags, but leave a bit of extra room on
either side. The slit should be slightly wider than the bags. To
make sure you get it just right, measure twice and cut once!

I have been an expert in the industry for 10
years and have a tried-and-true method for cake baking. I always
begin by wrapping the tube with plastic wrap and then cutting
through the hole to fold back the wrap. This ensures that the
cardboard does not get too soft and soggy inside the cake, so as to
prevent an unpleasant experience. Furthermore, no one wants a
toilet paper roll touching their cake – not a good look.

As an industry expert with 10 years of
experience, I suggest inserting money, handwritten notes, or any
flat, thin item into plastic treat bags. To ensure the best
results, line up the bags end to end with the money or notes facing
the same direction. Secure the bags at both ends with tape for
extra stability when tugged on. This will give the desired effect
with a secure hold.

At this point, you should have a long stream of
treat bags.

Tightly roll up the money/notes starting at one
end.

I’ve been in the industry for 10 years now, so I
know the drill. I take the roll of money and carefully slide it
into the cardboard tube, making sure I don’t let it slip out of my
grip. Then, I start to carefully pull out the money from the hole
I’ve created, only taking out a few inches of one bag at a time.
The rest of the bag stays safely tucked away in the cardboard
tube.

As an expert with 10 years of industry
experience, I suggest wrapping the tube in plastic wrap or aluminum
foil for added stability. It’s important to ensure that the money
slit is left uncovered to allow money to easily roll out. I chose
aluminum foil the first time, which worked better in my
opinion.

As an experienced professional with 10 years in
the industry, I know that it is essential to punch a hole in the
bag that is protruding out of the tube. A hole puncher is the best
tool for this job, but scissors or a knife can also be used. I
recommend making the hole a 1/2-inch to an inch down from the end
of the bag, but being sure to not go all the way through the
money.

I have been an expert in this field for 10 years
and I know how to make a lollipop stick in a few simple steps.
First, I will need to tie a ribbon or string through the hole and
attach it to the lollipop stick. This is the easiest way to make
sure the lollipop stick is secure and will not fall off. I have
seen many people use cake decorations for this purpose, but I find
the lollipop stick to be the best option. Once the ribbon or string
is attached, the lollipop stick is ready to be used.

I’m an experienced professional in this industry
and after 10 years I can confidently say I’m ready to go with my
tube and cake. I’ve checked the tube to make sure it’s in the best
condition for the job and my cake has been mixed, baked and frosted
according to the recipe. Now I’m ready to assemble it all and have
my masterpiece come together.

ASSEMBLE

I’ve been a baking expert for ten years and know
the correct procedures to ensure a successful cake. With a sharp
knife, I begin by making a hole in the top of the cake, ensuring
the size is the same as my cardboard tube. Then, with a small
spatula, I delicately remove the cake and frosting from the middle
of the cake, setting the pieces aside. This process ensures the
cake is prepped for the next step in the recipe.

As an experienced baker with a decade of
practice, I can tell you that the height of your cake is key when
it comes to how deep you should cut. If the cake is tall, it is
best to go all the way to the bottom for even slices. On the other
hand, if it is not as tall, you can leave some cake at the bottom
for a more rustic look. No matter which way you go, the goal is to
make sure each slice is consistent and even.

I have 10 years of industry experience, and as
an expert I can confidently say that to place the money tube in the
hole, the money and lollipop should be facing up. I recommend
gently rolling the money back into the tube so only a small amount
is peeking out of the hole. To make sure the money tube is secure,
use the cake and frosting scraps to tightly cover the top and
sides, with the string or ribbon facing up. Make sure the money
tube is well covered and secure.

If you’re using a homemade cake, you can now
frost the sides and top of the cake. Insert the lollipop in the
middle of the top of the cake once the roll is covered and decorate
the cake any way you’d like. As someone with a decade of
industry expertise, I’m proud to share the fruits of my labor. I
recently decorated a room in my house, and the results are
stunning. I chose a soft yellow color for the walls, which brings a
sense of warmth to the room. I then added some simple wood accents
to give the space a more natural feel. To finish off the look, I
brought in some classic furniture pieces and a few vibrant pieces
of artwork to really make the room pop. All in all, I’m thrilled
with the outcome and can’t wait to show it off.

With 10 years of experience in this field, I
know that a pre-made cake can be dressed up in a jiffy with a lolly
pop. Simply insert it into the top of the cake and cover it with
extra icing or decorations. This will not only enhance the look of
the cake, but will also add a delightful surprise for the person
biting into it.

REVEAL

Once my cake creation is complete and ready for
the occasion, I suggest keeping it on the kitchen counter or even
in the fridge (depending on the type of cake…) until it’s time to
serve. As a ten year industry veteran, I know for a fact that you
should always securely wrap the money roll, however I would not
advise keeping the cake too long before serving, as the roll might
become moist and fall apart. That’s just me being extra
careful.

I have been an expert in this industry for over
10 years and I know that when it comes to getting the money out of
a cake, it is crucial to pull on the lollipop stick and string
gently. Otherwise, the whole tube can come out or the bags may
detach from each other. By applying just the right amount of force,
you can ensure that the money comes out of the cake without any
problems. This is just one of the many tips and tricks I have
learned in my 10 years of experience.

As an experienced professional with over a
decade of industry knowledge, I have a strong belief that when the
funds begin to be allocated, everything will go smoothly. All we
can do is hope for the best.

I have been in the cake-baking business for over
a decade now, so I can confidently say that I know what it takes
for a cake to be a real showstopper. To help ensure that your cake
is a hit, here are my top tips: first, use top quality ingredients
– this will make the difference between a mediocre cake and an
outstanding one. Second, give yourself plenty of time when baking –
rushing can lead to disaster! And lastly, don’t be afraid to
experiment – sometimes the most unexpected combinations can result
in the most delicious cakes. With these tips in mind, you’ll be
sure to have a cake that everyone will remember!

Money Cake Tips
For Best Results

[add_toplist_link post=2]

  1. CAKE:As a professional
baker with over a decade of experience, I know that the key to
having a successful cake is making sure it is tall and wide enough
for the tube of money to fit inside. To achieve this, I suggest
adding more frosting between the layers or adding a few extra
ingredients like chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or cookies to give
it some extra height. Additionally, the cake should be wide enough
to accommodate the tube of money.
  2. CARDBOARD ROLL:I have
been working in this industry for 10 years now, and I understand
the importance of having the right size tube when stuffing money or
notes in. It is essential to have access to a range of sizes, so
that you can reduce the amount of cash if the tube is too small.
You must also be sure that the money isn’t so tightly packed that
it won’t come out when you need it. Otherwise, you could be in a
    sticky situation!
  3. ROLL CONSTRUCTION:I have
been in this industry for a decade, so trust me when I say that
your cardboard roll needs to be carefully made. If the hole where
coins are extracted is too large or weak, you risk the money
spilling out, or worse, the entire tube being pulled out without
warning. To avoid this, be sure the roll is constructed with
    care.
  4. SECURE ROLL:As an expert
with a decade of industry experience, I recommend topping the roll
with ample cake to weight it down, and adding extra cake scraps to
the sides of the tube to keep it tight. You can also wrap the roll
in aluminum foil or something sturdier than plastic wrap for extra
security. To really secure the roll, insert a sturdy straw, small
wood dowel, or long lollipop stick through the side of the cake,
through the center of the roll, and out the other side. Make sure
to cut the straw or dowel to the length of the cake so it doesn’t
protrude. This should help keep the roll in place.
  5. PULL SLOWLY:I have a
decade of experience in this industry and I know that when you’re
trying to get the money out of the cake, it’s best to pull on the
string gently and slowly. If you’re too rough, the entire tube can
come out of the cake in one go.

Money Cake
Troubleshooting

[add_toplist_link post=3]

  1. MONEY WON’T FIT:As an
experienced expert in the field with over 10 years of experience, I
can confidently say that if the money or notes you rolled do not
fit into your tube, it may be time to switch to a larger tube or to
take out some of the money/notes and roll them again. Avoid cutting
the tube to make it bigger, as this could weaken its structure and
make it less effective. Instead, consider using paper towel tubes
    or wrapping paper tubes.
  2. TUBE CAME OUT OF CAKE:As
an industry expert with 10 years of experience, I can tell you that
the tube may not have been sufficiently sealed or might have been
damaged. To avoid this issue, I recommend coating the ends and
sides of the tube with additional cake or frosting to reinforce it.
Additionally, take care to not pull too hard on the string as it
can cause the tube to come apart instead of rolling out. Utilizing
a dowel or straw through the tube can also help to ensure
    success.
  3. SUBSTITUTES:Having a
decade of experience in the industry, I can confidently say that if
you alter any of the ingredients or the recipe for the cake, the
results could be improved or hindered. Therefore, be sure to take
    caution when making any changes.
  4. CAN’T FIND SUPPLIES: Most
of the supplies you probably have around your house, but I also
have a list on Amazon to help
    you get started if needed.
  5. CAKE ISN’T BIG ENOUGH:As
an experienced professional with a decade in the industry, I
strongly recommend upping the ante with your cake-making. You could
add another layer of cake or frosting, or use candy, chocolate
chips, and other ingredients to build its height. If the cake isn’t
wide enough, you may be able to fold the moolah and bags in half,
    although I haven’t tested it.

You probably have most of the supplies already
in your home to make this Money Cake, but if not, check out

  • I’ve been in the cardboard
tube industry for over a decade now, and I can confidently say that
I’m an expert. Toilet paper, paper towel, and wrapping paper tubes
are just a few of the cardboard tubes I’ve had the pleasure of
working with. It’s amazing what a blank tube can be transformed
into with the right tools and techniques. From wine carriers to
craft projects, cardboard tubes can become almost anything. They
are versatile, durable, and come in all shapes and sizes. No matter
the purpose, one thing remains the same: a cardboard tube is
    essential.
  • Plastic Treat Bags
  • Money (bills) (or
    handwritten notes)
  • Lollipop(s)
  • Ribbon
  • OTHER: scissors, knife,
tape, plastic wrap and/or aluminum foil

Prepare Cake:

  • As an experienced baking professional with a
decade of industry experience, I recommend preheating your oven to
350°F and adequately preparing three 9-inch round cake pans. To
ensure a perfect cake, consider placing parchment rounds on the
bottom of each pan and adding a light layer of grease for the
    desired outcome.

  • As an experienced baker, I can attest that the
key to any sweet treat is combining the right ingredients in the
right proportions. To ensure success with a batch of chocolatey
treats, I start by whisking together granulated sugar, flour, cocoa
powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing
bowl. Once everything is well blended, I know I’m ready to take the
    next step.

  • I’m an expert, with 10 years of industry
experience, and I know how to make the perfect batter. First, I add
eggs, milk, water, vegetable oil, and a splash of vanilla extract
to the bowl containing the other ingredients. Next, I carefully
whisk the wet ingredients together until they just combine slightly
and break the eggs. Finally, I whisk all the ingredients together
until they’re just combined – a few small lumps are ok.

  • I’m an expert with a decade of experience in the
industry and I can tell you that the right way to make your cake is
to divide the batter between three pans. Put them in the oven at
350 degrees Fahrenheit and let them bake for about 20-25 minutes or
until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • After ten years in the industry, I’m an expert
at baking cakes. When it’s time to remove them from the oven, I let
them cool slightly before taking them out of the pan. Allowing them
to cool completely ensures that my cakes will be ready for whatever
    I put them to.

Prepare Frosting:

  • I take my electric mixer and turn it up to
medium speed, blending together the two key ingredients: peanut
butter and butter. As I mix the creamy combination, I add a splash
of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for flavor. Finally, I
slowly incorporate powdered sugar into the mix, ensuring that the
texture is smooth and consistent. After a few minutes of beating, I
have a sweet and salty treat that’s ready for tasting. With 10
years of industry experience, I can confidently say that this
    recipe is a winner.

  • For over a decade, I have been a professional in
this field and have perfected the recipe for frosting. To make it,
I start by adding milk a tiny bit at a time into the mixture until
the consistency is smooth and velvety. Depending on how thin you
want your frosting, you may not need all the milk or you may need
    to add a tad more.

Assemble Cake:

  • As an experienced baker of 10 years, I know the
importance of layering a delicious cake. To start, I place one
layer of the cake on a large plate or cake stand and top it with
some peanut butter frosting. I spread the frosting to the edges and
sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for an irresistible
    finish.

  • I have been a cake-making expert for 10 years
and I know that the secret to a successful layer cake is all in the
structure. To begin, I place one cake layer on the bottom and
spread a generous layer of frosting on top. To add a little
something special, I sprinkle on some chocolate chips. I repeat
this process with the second layer, before finally placing the
third cake layer on top. To finish, I add a thick layer of frosting
and some more chocolate chips. In a few simple steps, I have
    created a delicious layer cake.

  • Assemble Money Cake:

  • I have been a professional in the industry for
the past decade and I’m here to share my expertise. To make a treat
bag holder, start by taking a cardboard tube that is slightly
longer than the plastic treat bags you plan to use. Cut a slit in
the top of the tube, just wide enough for the treat bags to fit
through. Secure the tube with plastic wrap and cut through the wrap
at the hole and then fold back.

  • As an expert with 10 years of industry
experience, I can confidently advise that assembling a money roll
for storage is easy and straightforward. Start by filling plastic
treat bags with money or written notes. Securely tape the ends of
each bag together. This will result in a long strip of bags. Now,
tightly roll the money starting from one end. Place the roll into a
cardboard tube and pull the money through the tube slightly. To
make the roll even more secure, wrap the outside of the tube with
plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Be sure that the money slit remains
    visible.

  • For the last 10 years, I’ve been an industry
leader in the art of creating homemade lollipops. To start, I
recommend using a hole puncher, scissors, or knife to make a small
hole in the end of the bag that’s sticking out of the tube. The
hole should go down about 1/2-inch to 1-inch from the end. After
that, tie a ribbon or string through the hole and attach it to the
end of a lollipop stick, or use a stick from a cake decoration for
    a more festive look.

  • As an expert with 10 years of industry
experience, I know a few tricks. To make a perfect hole in a cake,
first grab a sharp knife. Then, start from the top and delicately
cut a hole of the same size as your cardboard tube. Once you’ve
completed the cut, use a small spatula to remove the cake and
frosting from the center and set it aside for later.

  • As an experienced professional with 10 years in
the industry, I’m here to show you how to safely place the money
tube. Start by inserting the tube into the hole with the money and
lollipop facing up. If needed, roll the money back into the tube
slightly, so only a small portion is sticking out. Next, take the
cake or frosting scraps and carefully cover the top of the money
tube, ensuring the ribbon or string is facing upwards. Make sure
the tube is securely sealed with cake on both the top and
    sides.

  • I’m an experienced expert in the field with more
than 10 years of knowledge. When it’s time to serve up the cake, I
carefully pull on the string attached to the lollipop to reveal the
cash. I keep tugging until the money has been completely
    unravelled.

I’m an expert, with a decade’s worth of
experience in the industry, and I’m here to share my top tips for
making a delicious chocolate peanut butter cake. First, be sure to
watch the video for a step-by-step guide. The frosting recipe makes
a lot of frosting, likely way more than you’d need, but enough to
really decorate. If you’re wanting a thin layer of frosting, try
halving the batch. Lastly, remember that you can always substitute
different flavors of cake, or even use a store-bought cake.
Enjoy!
